Eagles Fall in Final Two Matches of Ozarks Classic

BRANSON, Mo.  (8/30/25) – The Williams Baptist University volleyball team lost its final two matches of the College of the Ozarks Classic on Saturday afternoon.

Williams lost 3-0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-17) to Saint Mary in the first match of the day.  

Tinleigh Ruhman led the Eagles with seven kills on a .294 hitting percentage, and Faith Raymond led the squad with 16 digs on the back row.

WBU fell in its final match of the day to Mid-American Christian by the final score of 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-16).

Ruhman led the squad in kills again with six on a .048 hit percentage.  Payton Bond, Halie Sutton, and Natalie Collier followed behind with three each.  Desirae Walker put up 10 assists.

The losses drop the Lady Eagles to 0-5 to begin the season.  Next, WBU will face the University of the Ozarks (Ark.) on Tuesday, Sep. 2 in Clarksville, Ark.  The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. inside Mabee Gymnasium.
