WBU Baseball Unveils 2025 Schedule

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (11/14/24) – The Williams Baptist University baseball team announced its 2025 schedule on Thursday afternoon, featuring 27 home games at Shell Field.

Stephen Abanathy returns as head Eagle in his ninth year at the helm of the program.

The Eagles open the season with a split series on Jan. 30 in Hot Springs, Ark. against Champion Christian before returning home for two games against the Tigers.

The Eagles have another split series against Philander Smith, playing game one in Little Rock, Ark. on Feb. 7 and returning home for a doubleheader on Feb. 8.

Trinity Christian will make the trip for four games on Feb. 14 and 15 before the Eagles kick off American Midwest Conference play with four home games against William Woods on Feb. 21 and 22.

WBU will then kick off an eight game road stand against Crowley's Ridge in Paragould, Ark. (Feb. 28, Mar. 1) and Columbia in Columbia, Mo. (Mar. 7 & Mar. 8).

The Eagles return home for a four game set against Harris-Stowe (Mar. 14 & 15), then travel to Hannibal, Mo. for four against Hannibal-LaGrange (Mar. 20 & 21)

WBU will make a stop at home for a mid-week doubleheader against Maranatha Baptist (Mar. 26) before a four game series with defending AMC champion Missouri Baptist in St. Louis (Mar. 28 & 29) to round out the month of March.

Williams will begin April with a mid-week contest with Blue Mountain Christian (Apr. 1), then a four game series with Mission (Apr. 4 & 5) precedes a weekend against UHSP (Apr. 11 & 12).

The Eagles make the return trip to Blue Mountain Christian in Blue Mountain, Miss. (Apr. 15) before the final conference series of the year against Central Baptist at home (Apr. 18 & 19).

The American Midwest Conference Baseball Tournament is set for Apr. 29 through May 2 at Carshield Field in O'Fallon, Mo.
