Cloud Tabbed AMC Pitcher of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (4/21/25) – Williams Baptist University right-handed pitcher Dawson Cloud earned American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for week 12 of the season after two strong outings against Blue Mountain Christian and Central Baptist, the league office announced on Monday.

Cloud tossed  6.1 shutout innings against Central Baptist to power WBU to a 2-0 victory on Thursday.  The Goreville, Ill. native struck out seven to secure his first career win on the mound.

Cloud began the week with a scoreless inning in relief against Blue Mountain on Tuesday, where the righty struck out one to post a shutdown frame against the Toppers.

Cloud is the second WBU hurler to earn AMC Pitcher of the Week honors this season, following Nash Koczka in week eight.

Cloud and the Eagles will return to the diamond to conclude the 2025 regular season with a four-game series against Mission on Apr. 23-24.  First pitch on Wednesday is set for 1:30 p.m. from Shell Field.
