Eagles Cheer Places 5th at Regionals

DAVENPORT, Iowa - The Williams competitive cheer team placed fifth at the regional competition this past weekend, hosted by St. Ambrose University.

Williams finished with an overall score of 66.78 after scoring a 65.21 in the preliminary round and a 67.30 in their final round. Oklahoma City University won the regional with an overall score of 94.94, followed by St. Ambrose (92.89), Dickinson State University (89.76), Missouri Baptist (85.46), and then Williams. 

 "I am beyond proud of this team. Fighting through adversity, injuries, and constant changes to their routine. This first year program has made history here at WBU, and will continue to do so. This team only graduates one senior, so I am expecting big things in the next few years." Head Coach Emily Wisby said following the competition.
