Eagles Fall to Trojans in OT

HANNIBAL, Mo. - The Williams men's basketball team fell to the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans on Monday night in overtime, 63-56. With the loss the Eagles are 14-10 overall and 6-8 in conference play.

The Eagles had a slow start to the game and found themselves down 10-4 six minutes into the game. They started to pick it up and tied the game with two minutes left in the half before eventually taking a two-point lead into halftime. Williams came out strong after halftime and maintained at least a six-point lead for most of the second half. Hannibal LaGrange closed the lead down to two points with 1:38 left and they drew a foul with just two seconds remaining. The Trojans hit both of their free-throws to tie the game and force over-time. They would then go on to outscore the Eagles 7-0 in the overtime period to secure the win. 

TJ Clardy had the first double-double of his career coming off the bench with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Tyreon "Duke" Hardin also had 13 points, while Cortez King had 12. 

The Eagles shot 35% from the field (23-64), 25% from the three-point line (4-16), and 75% from the free-throw line (6-8).
