Eagles End Season At CBC in AMC Tourney

CONWAY, Ark. - The Williams men's basketball team fell to the Central Baptist College Mustangs 100-91 in the AMC Quarterfinals on Friday afternoon. With the loss the Eagles finish the season at 15-12 overall and 7-9 in conference play.

The first twenty minutes of play didn't see much separation between the two teams on the scoreboard, as each one had leads by no more than a few points. In the second half the Eagles were able build up a lead of six, and each time the Mustangs the would cut it down the Eagles would push it back out. Central Baptist tied it at 77 and then retook the lead with 6:29 remaining. From there they were able to build out their own lead, and the Eagles weren't able to get back in the game. 

Williams shot 46.6% from the field (34-73), 56.5% from the three-point line (13-23), and 71.4% from the free-throw line (10-14). 

Cortez King scored a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. 

Tyreon "Duke" Hardin led the team with 18 points, while EJ Anderson and TJ Clardy were also in double figures with 14 and 13 points respectively.
