Parr Captures Medalist Honors a Lyon College Invitational
Tyler Parr posted a two-round score of five-under-par 139 (68-71) to claim medalist honors at the Lyon College Invitational Tournament at The Course at Eagle Mountain on Tuesday.
Parr led wire-to-wire for his first medalist honors of the year as three Eagles finished inside the top-10 to help the squad to a second place finish in the tournament. WBU finished with a 36-hole total of 10-over-par 586 (293-293) to finish three strokes behind tournament champion Mississippi College for Women, who had a two-day total of 583 (+7).
Dawson McMahan finished fourth for Williams after carding a two-day score of 144 (even). He tied with Jakup Slapal of Central Baptist College with the same score, but lost on the first playoff to finish just outside earning a medal.
Thibau DeLange tied for eighth with a score of 146 (+2) after firing a final round score of 72 (even) to climb into the top-10. Other scores for WBU included Quinn Crosskno had a 157 (+13) and Carrington Reid at 163 (+19).
On the women's side, Kendra Harness finished third after a two-round score of 160 (+16), which tied for third place with CBC's Alyssa Hagewood. However, Harness was able to edge Hagewood on the first playoff hole to secure the third-place honor.
Other scores for the Lady Eagles included Leslie Hill with a 183 (+39) and Grace Woody with a 185 (+41).
