Eagles Host Battle at Big Creek Golf Tournament
MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (4/2/24) - The Williams Baptist men's and women's golf teams hosted their spring tournament at Big Creek Country Club in Mountain Home, Ark., with the men taking home a fifth place finish and the women finished in sixth.
William Woods won the men's tournament with a team total of 578, while Columbia was second with a score of 585.
In the women's tournament, Columbia finished first with a team score of 636, while Central Baptist College was second with a team score of 676.
Individually, Tyler Parr finished tied for 11th on the men's side six-over-par 150, while Thibau DeLange was 18th with an 11-over 156. Curren Bounds shot a 158 (+14), while Carrington Reid carded a 164. Quinn Crosskno and Dawson McMahan each finished with a 165, while Kaleb McClain had a two round total of 170.
Kendra Harness led the way on the women's side with sixth place finish with a two-day total of 161, while Leslie Hill was 11th with a 170. Grace Woody finished with a 183 and Kelby Smith finished with a 268.
The squad will wrap up regular season play April 15-16 at the Missouri Baptist Invite in St. Louis.
