Bounds' Strong Day Two Leads the Way at WBU Fall Invitational
KENNETT, Mo. (9/10/24) – The Williams Baptist University men's golf team opened its fall slate in the WBU Fall Invitational on Sept. 9 & 10 in Kennett, Mo.
Curren Bounds led the way for the Eagles in the tournament with a two-round total of 141, jumping six spots on day two with a 68 in his second round to finish in second place.
Tyler Parr finished right behind in a tie for third place with a final score of 143.
Dawson McMahan shot two 77's to finish with a 154 that landed him in 19th place. Kaleb McClain finished in a three-way tie for 22nd place with a 156, and Elijah Wilkes finished a stroke behind McClain in 25th with a final score of 157.
Landon McBride and Carrington Reid tied for 35th place individually, both with a two-round score of 167. Dylan Richards finished in 38th with a 168, and Ian Winward finished tied for 39th with a 174.
Wyatt Edwards shot a 175 across two rounds that was good for a 42nd place finish, and Blake Rogers finished with a total of 180 for a 46th place finish.
The Williams Baptist A Team finished in fourth place with a total team score of 595, only one stroke behind Mineral Area College. The B team came in eighth place with a total of 658.
The Eagles will continue the fall slate on Sept. 23 & 24 in the Lyon College Fall Invite from Melbourne, Ark.
