Bounds, Parr Lead Strong Showing at MBU Spring Invitational

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (4/16/25) – Strong performances from Curren Bounds and Tyler Parr led the Williams Baptist University golf teams at the MBU Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.

Bounds climbed six places on day two with a score of 74 to finish tied for fourth place in the individual rankings.  Parr also tied for fourth place with a two-round total of 150 to lead WBU.  Both Eagles finished only two shots behind first place in the individual rankings.

Elijah Wilkes finished tied for 37th with a total of 168 across both days, and Ian Winward finished tied for 50th at 173 to round out scoring for WBU.  

Carrington Reid finished 56th with a two-round total of 175 as an individual, and Kaleb McClain (182) finished 68th in the leaderboard.

The Eagles finished third as a team in the tournament, defeating every other AMC participant in the event with a total score of 641.  Bethel (TN) took home first place at a total score of 605.

On the women's side, Kendra Harness continued her strong season with a third place individual finish on a two-round total of 165.

Grace Woody finished 21st with a two-round total of 186.  Dreama Morrow carded a two-round total of 244 for a 34th place finish, and Kelby Smith rounded out the team with a two-round total of 251 and 35th place finish.

Next, WBU will compete in the 2025 AMC Golf Championships at Cooper's Hawk Golf Club in Melbourne, Ark. The women will compete on Apr. 28-29, and the men will fight for the AMC championship on May 5-6.
