
Eagles Finish Third in 2025 AMC Golf Championship
MELBOURNE, Ark. (5/6/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's golf team collected a third place finish at the 2025 American Midwest Conference Men's Golf Championship at Cooper's Hawk Golf Club on Tuesday.
As a team, the Eagles shot a three-round total of 915 (+51) to finish third of nine teams. The third place finish is WBU's highest since the Eagles were crowned conference champions in the 2022 season, and the second highest placement in program history.
Curren Bounds led the way for WBU with a ninth place finish. Bounds carded a three-round total of 223 (+7), highlighted by a 72 in his second round of play.
Kaleb McClain climbed four spots on day two to finish 12th with a three-round total of 229 (+13), and Tyler Parr finished in 13th with a total of 230 (+14).
Elijah Wilkes rose six spots with a 75 in his final round to finish 21st with a total of 236 (+20), and Ian Winward rounded out the squad in 27th place with a score of 241 (+25).
After the tournament, the American Midwest Conference announced its 2025 award winners. Tyler Parr was named to the AMC All-Conference Second Team, and Carrington Reid was named to the AMC Champions of Character Team.
