Akabane, Belinello Named to AMC All-Tournament Team

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (11/15/24) – Williams Baptist University men's soccer players Andre Akabane and Lucas Belinello were named to the American Midwest Conference All-Tournament team, the league announced on Friday.

Akabane, a senior midfielder, put up two shots on goal in the Eagles quarterfinal win over Hannibal-LaGrange.  The Sao Paulo, Brazil native put up two more shots in the semifinal match against Missouri Baptist, and played stellar defense to contribute to the 0-0 stalemate in 110 minutes.

Belinello, a sophomore from Sao Paulo, Brazil, scored the second goal in WBU's 3-0 triumph over Hannibal-LaGrange in the quarterfinals, and contributed on defense in the 0-0 semifinal match with Missouri Baptist.
