Johnson Sets School Record in High Jump at Bison Open
SEARCY, Ark. (4/8/24) - The Williams Baptist University men's and women's track competed at the Harding Bison Open over the weekend with several athletes notching school and personal records.
Eric Johnson broke the school record in the high jump with a leap of 1.94m (6'4.25) and finished in fourth place to pace the men's track and field athletes through the weekend.
Jacob Short and Cody Carden each had personal bests in the discus. Short had a throw of 34.80m (114'2), while Carden had a throw of 30.86m (101'3). Logan Jackson had a PR of 60.44 in the 400 meter race, while Kiasia Burns ran a career best race of 13.84 in the 100 meter dash. She also turned in a personal best time of 28.72 in the 200 meter dash. Rounding out the personal records was Calista Christian who had a top throw of 40.87m (134'1) in the hammer throw.
