WBU Defeats Lyon in Wrestling Dual

CONWAY, Ark. (11/30/23)  – The Williams Baptist wrestling team defeated Lyon College 33-24 in a wrestling dual Wednesday evening on the campus of Lyon College.

In the 141 weight class, Johnny Baldwin defeated Justin Maguire by technical fall, while Kendric Gordon won by fall over Ariston Bartley in the 184 weight class. 

In the heavyweight class, Kade Carter won by major decision over Robert Lee, while Alzariu Boykins (157), Ta'Shon White (165) and Jakob Wilcox (174) all won by forfeit.

The Eagles return to the mats Thursday, Dec. 7 for senior night at the Southerland-Mabee Center. The first match is set for 7 p.m.
