Eagles Wrestling Battles in Ozark Quad Duals
CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (12/9/24) – The Williams Baptist University wrestling team took home its first dual victory of the season at the Ozark Quad Duals hosted by the University of the Ozarks on Saturday morning.
Williams took down Lyon 42-12 for its first dual win of the year. The Eagles took eight wins by forfeit in the match.
WBU lost its next dual to Westminster College 43-9. Grayson Pennison gave the Eagles three points with a win by 10-3 decision over Brendon Marquess, then Peyton Holland took the forfeit victory to add six more. Pennison went 2-1 on the day for his first two victories as an Eagle.
WBU was shut out 60-0 in its final matchup against Ozarks.
The Eagles are now 1-3 on the season in duals. Williams will return to the mat on Jan. 11 for the Spartan Invite in St. Louis, Mo.
