Eagles Wrestling Concludes Season at AMC Championships

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (2/27/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's wrestling team wrapped up its 2024-25 campaign at the American Midwest Conference Championships on Saturday in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Gatlin Taylor finished fifth in the 133 bracket after he took a quick win by fall in only eight seconds in the fifth place match against Reese Braswell.

Noel Mejia finished sixth in the tournament after going 1-3 in the 125 bracket.  His only win came by fall over teammate Jimmy Singleton in the consolation side of the bracket. 

Micah Oltmanns and Gatlin Taylor were selected to the AMC Academic All-Conference team, and Ross Womack was named as WBU's Champions of Character Award winner.
