WBU Cross Country Competes at Larry Young Invite

The Williams Baptist University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Larry Young Invite hosted by Columbia College.

In the women's 5k race, junior Mikey Larson led the race for Williams with a time of 21:32.29 to finish in 29th place. Senior Kira Rogers finished 64th with a time of 25:03.82, while sophomore Kaedynce Miller ran the course in 32:58.08. Freshman Macie Noel turned in a time of 33:08.13, while freshman Brittany Dowdy rounded out the team scoring with a time of 37:37.71.

In the men's 8k race, junior Jason Detrick paced the Eagles by completing the course with a time of 34:27.55. Freshman Abram Fressenden was not far behind with a time of 37:29.99, while junior Jacob Short ran the course in a time of 40:11.88. Freshman Ronald Hill recorded a time of 45:00.58, while freshman Cody Carden rounded out the race times for WBU by running the course in 48:25.52.

The Eagles return to action Friday, Sept. 29 for the Chili Pepper Festival in Northwest Arkansas.
