WBU Cross Country Races at Chile Pepper Festival

The Williams Baptist University men's and women's cross country team competed the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, Ark., Friday with several runners posting times in the meet.

Mikey Larson claimed the best time of the women's race for the Eagles, finishing the 5k course in 22:15.0 for a top-100 finish. Kira Rogers posted the next best time at 26:26.0, while Brittany Dowdy ran the course in 38.23.8.

In the men's 8k race, Nicholas Powell posted the best time for WBU after racing the course in 35:36.0, while Abram Fessenden posted a time of 39:18.4. Jacob Short ran the course for Williams in 46:01.6, while Karlis Smith (51:49.1) and Cody Carden (56:15.2) rounded out the times. 

The Eagles' squads will compete again Saturday, Oct. 7 at the University of Ozarks Invitational.
