WBU Cross Country Teams Compete at University of Ozarks Invitational

The Williams Baptist University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the University of the Ozarks Invitational Saturday morning as they continue to prepare for the upcoming American Midwest Conference meet in November.

Mikey Larson led the way as the top individual finisher after turning a time of 21:48.00 for 24th place in the women's 5k race. Kira Rogers finished 39th with a time of 23:38.80, while Macie Noel was 67th after running the course in 29:18.00. Kaedynce Miller closed out the timed racers for Williams with a time of 30:19.80. 

Overall, WBU finished in 7th place with 168 points.

On the men's side, Nick Powell finished 53rd after running the 8k course in a time of 32:50.60, while Jason Detrick was right behind him in 57th place with a time of 34:21.30. Abram Fessenden followed his teammates in 64th place after running the course in 37:24.20, while Cody Carden rounded out those finishing the race with a time of 44:01.20. WBU did not post a team score. 

The squads return to racing on Saturday, Oct. 7 for the St. Louis Classic in St. Louis, Mo.
