Lady Eagles Fall On the Road at Christian Brothers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Williams softball team fell in both games of their doubleheader to the Christian Brothers University Bucs. They dropped game one 10-2 in five innings and game two 5-2. With the losses the Lady Eagles are now 8-14.

Game One

Williams scored their two runs in the second inning off a RBI triple from Laila Byas and then Anna Besand reached on an error that allowed Byas to score. 

Maddie Wallace pitched 3.0 innings and gave up seven runs off seven hits, walked one and struck out one. Tori Kierbach pitched 1.0 inning of relief and gave up three runs off three hits and walked two. 

Game Two

The Lady Eagles scored their two runs in the third when Kaitlyn Anderson hit a 2 RBI single to center field. 

Angel Gillette pitched 6.0 innings and gave up five runs off four hits, walked three and struck out four.

Williams has their first home games of the year next Wednesday, March 23 as they host Ecclesia College for a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.
