Lady Eagles Drop Series to (21) Cougars

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams softball team dropped their doubleheader to the (21) Columbia College Cougars on Friday afternoon. They lost game one 8-0 in six innings and game two 6-1. The Lady Eagles are now 13-19 overall and 1-5 in conference play.

In game one, the Lady Eagles collected five hits, but weren't able to string any together to score runs. Hali Williams had two hits to lead the team. 

Cassidi Doyle pitched 6.0 innings for the Lady Eagles and gave up eight runs off six hits, walked four and struck out five. 

In game two, the Lady Eagles were able to score a run in the fifth inning when MAddi Altenthal came home to score off the double hit by Macy Carter

Angel Gillette pitched 7.0 inning for the Lady Eagles and gave up six runs off 13 hits, walked three and stuck out three.
