Lady Eagles Win Big On Senior Day

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams softball team won big on their senior day as they defeated Harris-Stowe State, 20-0. The Lady Eagles are now 19-25 overall and 7-11 in conference play.

Williams honored their five seniors on Senior Day, four players and one student assistant: Hali Williams, Kaydra Cole, Cassidi Doyle, Macy Carter, and Baylee Haskins. 

The Lady Eagles plated 13 runs in the first inning, five in the second, and two in the fourth. The biggest hit of the day was a 2 RBI double off the bat of Kaitlyn Anderson in the first inning. 

Doyle got the start in the circle and pitched 2.0 innings, giving up one hit, walking one and striking out five. Sara Pruitt pitched 3.0 innings of relief and gave up one hit and struck out four. 

The Lady Eagles and the Hornets were scheduled to play a second game, but the Hornets forfeited.
