Isaacs Tabbed AMC Defensive Player of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (1/27/25) – For the second time this season, Williams Baptist University senior Kaylee Isaacs was named the American Midwest Conference defensive player of the week on Monday following back-to-back double-double performances.

Isaacs led the Lady Eagles with a double-double on 31 points and 15 rebounds against Harris-Stowe on Thursday night.  Isaacs shot 52.6 percent from the field in the Eagles 10th straight win.

The Batesville, Ark. native showed out with another double-double against William Woods with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Isaacs posted 25 total rebounds over the week and 41 total points.

This is the second time Isaacs has won the Defensive Player of the Week award, and third time being honored at the conference level this season.  She also has an Offensive Player of the Week award under her belt from week 10.

WBU is tied with Columbia for first place in the AMC standings.  Isaacs and the Eagles will look to take sole possession of first place when the team faces Columbia on Thursday, Jan. 30 inside the Southerland-Mabee Center.  Tip-off against the Cougars is set for 5:30 p.m.
