DeLange's Strong Showing Leads the Way at Missouri Baptist Spring Invitational

ALTON, Ill. (4/16/23) – Thibau DeLange's strong first round led the way for the Williams Baptist men's and women's golf teams at the Missouri Baptist Spring Invitational in Alton, Ill.

The men's team took home a third place finish, tied with Missouri Baptist with a final score of 617.  Central Baptist took home the title with a 523.

On the women's side, the Lady Eagles took home an eighth place finish.  Union (TN) took first place with a score of 604.

Thibau DeLange held first place at the end of day one with a total of 71 (-1).  DeLange paced the men's squad in the final standings by taking home a third place individual finish with a two round total of 148 (+5).  

Quinn Crosskno finished in a three-way tie for 18th place with a score of 156 (+12).  Tyler Parr and Curren Bounds tied for 25th place in the event, both turning in a 158 (+14).  Dawson McMahan rounded out the team with a 30th place finish, carding a 160 (+16).

Kendra Harness led the way for the Lady Eagles with a two-round total of 165 (+21).  Leslie Hill came in 28th place with a 177 (+33), followed by Grace Woody at 30th place with a 183 (+39).  Kelby Smith finished 43rd with a two-day score of 271.

Next, Eagles golf will head to Jefferson City, Mo. for the American Midwest Conference Championships on April 29-30 at Jefferson City Country Club.
