Lady Eagles Fall on the Road to Scots

The Williams Baptist University women's soccer team fell to Lyon College 7-2 on Tuesday night in a non-conference road matchup.

The Lady Eagles started the game strong, opening up scoring in the 17th minute with a goal from Livvie Campbell. Lyon would even the game up in the 43rd minute with a goal from Jessica Steele, but WBU would take the lead back before halftime with a buzzer beater goal in the 45th minute from Nichole Craig.

The second half would be a different story for the Eagles though, as Lyon would tie the game back at two goals a piece in the 49th minute with a goal from Aisha Mahmoud. Lyon would also take the lead in the 49th minute with a goal from Addy Lovell.  Lyon would find the back of the net four more times before the end of the match.

The Eagles had 12 shots in the match, seven of which were on target.  Kerrigan Kinsey played all 90 minutes in goal for WBU, grabbing 14 saves.

The Lady Eagles will be back in action at home on Thursday, Sept. 21 against Freed-Hardeman at 2 p.m.
