Lady Eagles Fall on Senior Day

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (10/24/23)  – The Williams Baptist University women's soccer team lost to Central Baptist College 5-1 Tuesday afternoon in the regular season finale for the Eagles on senior day.

The Lady Eagles honored three outstanding players who contributed to the program over the years. Calista Christian, Kenzie Hatman and Livvie Campbell were all honored in a pre match ceremony.

Juanita Trujilo scored the only goal of the game for Williams in the second half when she collected a rebound off a shot from Livvie Campbell whose shot hit the crossbar and bounced to Trujilo in a perfect position to bury home the rebound.

Central Baptist scored four goals in the first half, with goals from Vitoria Loiola (11th and 40th minutes), Annesta Richards (38:48) and Llexie Sengmanivong (44th minute). Sierra Victory also added a goal for the Mustangs in the 85th minute of the second half to set the final.

Kerrigan Kinsey added to her American Midwest Conference saves total by stopping eight shots on the afternoon. She now leads the league with 145 saves on the year.
