Jonker, Coleman Claim Individual Titles at AMC Indoor Championships

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (2/17/25) – Aletta Jonker and Tucker Coleman led the way for the Williams Baptist University men's and women's indoor track & field teams at the American Midwest Conference Indoor Championships in Elsah, Ill. on Saturday.

Coleman took home the gold in the men's weight throw after setting a new school record at 17.47m, while Jonker took the individual title in the women's 800m after completing the race in 2:28.59.

In addition to the individual titles, Kiasia Burns and Calista Christian finished in third in the women's long jump and women's weight throw respectively to earn AMC Third Team All-Conference honors.

Rebecca Simington and Caleb Bettis were named the AMC Champions of Character Award winners from WBU.

As a team, Williams finished eighth in the men's and women's championships.
