Coleman Breaks School Record at Jim Green Invite

JACKSONVILLE, ILL. (2/5/24) - The Williams Baptist University track and field teams took part in the Illinois College Jim Green Invite over the weekend with several individuals setting school and personal bests in the event.

Tucker Coleman set a school record in the weight throw with a toss of 14.99 meter to finish seventh in the event, breaking his own mark set earlier this season. Jacob Short also set a personal record with a toss of 12.82 meters to finish 17th, while Cody Carden also had a personal best of 9.99 meters in the event. 

In the shot put, Short finished 10th with a throw of 13.14 meters, while Carden had a throw of 9.06 meters to finish 31st. 

In the women's field events Calista Christian finished seventh in the weight throw with a toss of 12.69 meters, while also finishing 14th in the shot put with a toss of 10.26 meters. Kady Greer finished 27th in the shot put with a throw of 7.41m. 

Ralph Iweriebor was the only runner to compete for Williams in the event and placed 44th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.14.
