Ruhman Named AMC Defender of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark.  (9/23/24) – Tinleigh Ruhman was named American Midwest Conference Defender of the Week after accumulating 10 blocks in a successful 2-1 week for Williams Baptist Volleyball.

The sophomore started the week with three solo blocks and two block assists in WBU's home opener on Tuesday, and added one more solo block on the road against Rust on Friday.

The Plumerville, Ark. native showed out on Saturday back at home against Freed-Hardeman, with three block assists and a solo block to bring her week's total to 10 blocks.  Ruhman also racked up seven kills in the five-set nailbiter.

WBU will open up conference play on Friday, Sept. 27 on the road against Missouri Baptist.  The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start from St. Louis, Mo.
