Cook Tabbed AMC Setter of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (10/28/24) – Williams Baptist University volleyball freshman Jaycie Cook claimed the American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week award after a successful week for the Lady Eagles, the conference announced on Monday.

Cook finished the week with 105 assists over three games for WBU, averaging 7.5 assists per set.  Cook started the week off with 28 assists in a 3-1 loss to Mission on Tuesday.

Cook had her biggest game of the week on Thursday, tallying 40 assists against Central Baptist in a 3-2 win.  The Paragould, Ark. native also helped WBU to a 3-2 Senior Day victory on Saturday against Tougaloo with 37 assists.

The Lady Eagles return to the floor on Friday, Nov. 1 to take on the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy.  The match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start inside the Southerland-Mabee Center on the campus of Williams Baptist University.
