WBU Cross Country Opens Season at Bearcat Invite
BOLIVAR, Mo. (9/1/23) – The Williams Baptist University men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2023 season at the Bearcat Invite Friday night with eight runners competing in both divisions.
In the men's 6250-meter run, Jason Detrick paced the Eagles by completing the course in a time of 28:37.64. Abram Fessenden finished not far behind with a time of 31:02.92, while Jacob Short posted a time of 31:50.16. Karlis Smith recorded a time of 32:30.14 and Ronald Hill completed the race in 39:11.73.
In the women's race, Mikey Larson ran the 5k course in a time of 22:40.16, while Kira Rogers completed the course in 25:30.40. Macie Noel rounded out the competition for the Lady Eagles by crossing the line in 35:29.35.
