WBU Races in St. Louis Fall Classic Meet

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (10/21/23)  – The Williams Baptist University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the St. Louis Fall Classic Cross Country meet on Saturday, with several Eagles turning in top times in the event. 

In the men's race, Nick Powell led the way with a time of 33:30.7, while Jason Detrick was close behind at 34:25.9. Logan Jackson finished his race with a time of 37:09.1, while Abram Fessenden turned in a time of 39:20.0. 

Karlis Smith finished behind Fessenden with a mark of 41:39.7, while Jacob Short ran the course in a time of 44:31.7. Cody Carden rounded out the day for WBU by racing the course in a time of 44:31.9.

In the women's race, Mikey Larson turned in the best individual performance of the day for Williams by finishing the course in 21:23.1 and finishing in 16th place. 

Kira Rogers ran her race in a time of 25:14.3, while Macie Noel turned in a performance of 29:42.5. Kaedynce Miller finished the race in 30:33.6, while Brittany Dowdy rounded the day for the Eagles with a time of 36:50.0. 

WBU will next compete in the AMC Championship Cross Country Championship at the Frank E.Peters Golf Course in Nevada, Mo on Friday, Nov. 3. The woman's race is set to begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the men's race at 11:30 a.m.
