Bio

Jeff Rider has been the Director of Athletic Eligibility and Retention at Williams Baptist University since 2024.  He served as the Head Coach for the Eagle basketball squad from 1996-2011, before also serving as WBU's Athletic Director from 2006-2024.

In 2011, Rider was named the American Midwest Conference Athletic Director of the Year.  Under his guidance the Williams athletic department has achieved a substantial amount of success, including their first ever NAIA National Tournament in 2012 (softball), as well as two individual national championships in wrestling.

Rider coached basketball at the high school level from 1988-1996.

He holds a Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Education from Arkansas State University.  

He is married to Kelly Rider and the couple live in Walnut Ridge, Ark. and they have two grown daughters.
